WHAT WE DO

The Foundation’s core focus is the direct relief of human sickness. Through our five funding programmes, we support a wide and diverse range of medical charities covering the full spectrum of relief of sickness – from medical research aimed at preventing and treating disease, to organisations that help individuals live with a particular condition, to palliative care charities that afford a caring and dignified end of life. While most of our funding is aimed at charities operating in the UK, a smaller portion of our total annual grantmaking supports UK registered charities operating internationally.
